Rabat, 11 November 2015. – The IMC Music Rights Award was once again given to a programme that supports in an exemplary way the Five Music Rights proclaimed by the International Music Council. The 2015 recipient of the 2015 Award are the SOCIAL PROJECTS of the Fayha Choir from Tripoli, Lebanon. The programme was nominated by the European Choral Federation – Europa Cantat, a long-time member of the IMC, and selected by a panel of specialists.
Our projects aim to rid children and youth from all kinds of deviation including dropping out of school, dealing/doing drugs, joining gangs, carrying arms, and so on. It is our firm belief that this can solely be done by the power of music, especially choir singing.
We are absolutely convinced that this could only be achieved throughout the power of music in general and the power of choir singing in particular. This power helps us promote many significant concepts such as learning to coexist with others and to harmonize, accepting and respecting others, promoting peace, and finally understanding the importance of ones heritage and culture. Recent studies have shown that choir singing plays an important role in the enhancement of the psychological wellness of singers, increases their self-esteem and self-confidence, trains them to become more disciplined, and increases their memory capacity. All these benefits of choir singing improve the general social skills of singers. The advantages of choir singing are numerous and their effects on children are extremely powerful on their general upbringing.
- Allow access to extra-curricular activities for marginalized children in public primary schools in selected locations in Lebanon
- Pilot the use of extracurricular activities in playing a role in the retention of at-risk and the reinsertion of out-of-school children in Lebanon.
More than 10,000 children were involved in the project.

Rabat, le 11 Novembre 2015. - Le Prix IMC Music Rights Award a de nouveau été décerné à un programme qui soutient de manière exemplaire les cinq droits musicaux proclamés par le Conseil international de la musique. Les récipiendaires 2015 du Prix 2015 sont les PROJETS SOCIAUX du Fayha Choir de Tripoli, au Liban. Le programme a été proposé par la Fédération Chorale Européenne - Europa Cantat, membre depuis longtemps de l'IMC, et sélectionné par un panel de spécialistes.
A travers ses activités chorales sociales, le Chœur Fayha vise à éloigner les enfants et les jeunes de toutes sortes de déviations sociales qui compromettent leur vie, leur avenir ou leur développement : le décrochage scolaire, la production ou la vente de drogues, la tentation de joindre aux gangs, de tenir des armes, etc. dans un contexte où ces risques sont forts.
Notre ferme conviction est que celà peut être fait uniquement par le pouvoir de la musique, en particulier le chant choral. Ce pouvoir nous rend ambitieux dans la promotion de concepts tels que vivre ensemble, accepter et respecter l'autre, la promotion de la paix, et de saisir sur la culture et le patrimoine. Des études montrent que le chant choral joue un grand rôle dans l'amélioration de la santé psychologique des chanteurs. Non seulement celà, mais il améliore la confiance en soi, l'autodiscipline, et augmente la capacité de la mémoire. Il favorise également des meilleures compétences sociales. Les avantages de chanter dans une chorale sont nombreux, et leurs effets sur les enfants sont le plus puissant pour un meilleur bien-être général de la jeune génération.
• Améliorer l'accès à des activités extra-scolaires pour les enfants marginalisés dans les écoles primaires publiques dans des endroits choisis au Liban
• Utiliser des activités parascolaires à jouer un rôle dans le maintien des enfants au risque et la réinsertion des enfants non scolarisés au Liban
Plus de 10.000 enfants ont été impliqués dans le projet.

الرباط ، 11 نوفمبر 2015. – جائزة المجلس الدولي للموسيقى للحقوق الموسيقية لبرنامج يدعم بطريقة نموذجية لهذه الحقوق الخمسة التي أعلنها المجلس. الحائز على جائزة عام 2015 هو المشاريع الاجتماعية لكورال الفيحاء من طرابلس، لبنان. تم ترشيح البرنامج من قبل الاتحاد الأوروبي للكورالات - Europa Cantat ، وهو عضو قديم في IMC ، وتم اختياره من قبل لجنة من المتخصصين.
تهدف مشاريعنا لتجنيب الأطفال والشباب من كافة أنواع الإنحراف بما في ذلك التسرّب المدرسي، والتعامل / تعاطي المخدرات، والانضمام إلى عصابات، حمل السلاح، وهلم جرا. ولدينا إيمان راسخ بأن هذا الهدف يمكن أن يتحقّق بقوة الموسيقى وخاصة الغناء الجماعي. هذه القوة تخلق لدينا طموح في تشجيع مفاهيم مثل العيش المشترك، وقبول واحترام الآخر، وتعزيز السلام، والتعمّق في الثقافة والتراث.
تشير الدراسات إلى أن الغناء الكورالي يلعب دوراً كبيراً في تحسين الصحة النفسية. ليس ذلك فحسب، لكنه يحسن الثقة بالنفس، والانضباط الذاتي، ويزيد من قدرة الذاكرة. كما يعزّز مهارات اجتماعية أفضل. فوائد الغناء في جوقة كثيرة، وآثارها على الأطفال هي الأقوى لتأمين حياة سليمة لأجيال المستقبل.
• تحسين الوصول إلى الأنشطة اللاصفية للأطفال المهمشين في المدارس الابتدائية الرسميّة في مواقع مختارة في لبنان
• استخدام الأنشطة اللامنهجية في لعب دور في الإبقاء على المعرّضين للخطر وإعادة الدمج للأطفال من خارج المدرسة
شارك في المشروع أكثر من 10000 طفل من عدة مناطق لبنانية.
